Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – AR (Accounts Receivable) to manage and guide a team of AR professionals responsible for insurance follow-ups, denial management, and revenue recovery. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of US healthcare billing, and the ability to drive team performance while ensuring quality and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AR callers and analysts
  • Monitor daily productivity, quality metrics, and team performance
  • Handle complex and high-value insurance denials and escalations
  • Ensure timely follow-up on unpaid and underpaid claims
  • Analyze AR aging reports and implement action plans to reduce backlog
  • Coordinate with billing, coding, and quality teams to minimize denials
  • Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and HIPAA regulations
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
  • Support training, onboarding, and performance improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in Medical AR / Denial Management
  • Minimum 1–2 years in a Team Lead or Senior AR role
  • Strong knowledge of US healthcare billing, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS
  • Expertise in handling commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers
  • Proven ability to manage teams and meet productivity targets
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing large AR teams
  • Exposure to multiple medical specialties
  • Strong understanding of payer rules and appeal processes
  • Familiarity with RCM tools and EMR systems
