Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Scribe to support healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real time. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in medical documentation, strong knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient encounters in real time during clinical visits
- Record patient history, chief complaints, physical exam findings, and treatment plans
- Assist physicians with chart completion in EHR systems
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of diagnoses, procedures, and orders
- Review and update patient records to maintain accuracy and compliance
- Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support providers in improving workflow efficiency and reducing documentation burden
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Scribe
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical workflows
- Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems
- Excellent listening, typing, and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in specialties such as Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and basic medical coding concepts
- Prior experience working in hospitals or outpatient clinics
- Certification in medical scribing (preferred but not mandatory)
